MOBILE LIBRARIES IN THE WIDER WENVOE AREA
As well as the excellent service available from the village library at Wenvoe, which includes four public PCs with broadband internet access, did you know we also have two mobile libraries which travel the length and breadth of the Vale on a two-week rota? We have several stops around the greater Wenvoe area, at Cambrian Residential Park off
Brooklands Terrace and the Horse & Jockey at Twyn yr Odyn. There are also stops further afield at St Nicholas, Bonvilston and Michaelston le Pit.
Both vans are equipped with a step lift making them fully accessible by less mobile people and carry a good selection of popular fiction and non-fiction for adults and children of all ages, as well as large print books and audio books on cassette and CD.
We regularly visit schools, nurseries, residential homes and sheltered housing complexes and are always willing to consider new stops where two or more residents are willing to commit to using the library on a regular basis. You can use your usual Vale of Glamorgan library card on the mobiles and of course, reservations are now free if we don’t have the books you want on the van.
A full alphabetical timetable is available on the Vale of Glamorgan website on the libraries’ pages, where you will also be able to access our 24-hr Library by using your library card and unique pincode.
